Pupil responsibility

Our Eco-council is made up of children from Year 3 to Year 6 and they work diligently on projects aimed at encouraging the school to ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’. They support with litter picking to help keep our grounds clean. The councillors are now supporting the composting of fruit debris. 

 

During playtimes and lunchtimes all welfare staff have specified areas and games to supervise and promote learning through play. In addition to this we have a team of children who take on the role of PALS; all of whom have been provided with a full training programme to encourage children to play together, include even the most reluctant and resolve any difference using restorative justice techniques.
