Extra-Curricular Clubs

At St. Stephen's we are proud of the vast array of opportunities we offer to children through Passport 4 Life and extra-curricular clubs.  Our aim is to provide experiences that set children up for life and allow them to experience 'life in all its fullness'.  

All clubs above are led by external agencies and are paid for by the school. Progressive Sports (Ollie & Nathan) and UK Military School (Gary) are our leaders for the clubs.

Some of our staff also lead clubs and include: art, gardening, debate society, choir, football, book club, these are led either after school or during lunchtimes.

We also offer daily breakfast club for all of our pupils where they play board games, watch films, complete crafts and recognise special events (as well as having their breakfast!).

We offer academic booster sessions for our pupils which include reading and maths boosters for our year 6 pupils as well as 'Lightening Squad' for our earlier readers.

We listen to child voice and design clubs that are of interest to our pupils where possible.

PASSPORT 4 LIFE

As part of our pupil's personal development, we offer all pupils opportunities for enrichment beyond the classroom. We employ external agencies to come in to school and deliver sessions that go beyond academia; providing holistic and enriching experiences.

Recently, we have developed our forest school area and are passionate about providing our children with opportunities to learn outside.

As part of our endeavours for 'courageous advocacy', we work closely with Blackburn Rovers Community Trust and design community projects where our children have the opportunity to go off-site and support our local area through litter picking, gardening and work with the elderly at Sahara Fold.
