Did you know?

We have a COVID-19 support page, which provides advice, Government documents, support and positive well-being ideas to all of our parents & carers, pupils, staff and community. Follow the link below and it will take you directly to our support page. Go and have a look!

IMPORTANT NOTICE - As your child may be using the internet much more than usual, it is important that all parents and carers are overseeing their children and taking note of what they are using the internet for in order to keep your children safe.

Please see our 'online' safety information for support and guidance that will help parents and carers keep their children safe during the home learning period. There are also some articles below that may help you:

Zoom Classroom Meetings

We have recently been reviewing how we can develop further the way we deliver our home learning and communication with children.  We know our children are missing their friends and teachers and for that reason we would like to begin Zoom Classroom Meetings each week.  You will soon receive a Zoom invite (via the school app and blog) which will allow your child to participate in a short video call with their teacher, class mates and other adults who work in their class.

The meetings will be scheduled over 3 days, see the table below for your child's class day & time.

DAY CLASS TIME CLASS TIME
Monday 15th June Oak 10.30am Elm 10am

Mrs Young and Mrs Mercer will also be holding class worship sessions , see below for your child's year group, day & time:

Tuesday 16th June Phase 1 - EYFS & Yr 1 with Mrs Abram 11am
Wednesday 17th June Phase 2 - Yrs 2 & 3 with Mrs Mercer 11am

For these sessions to run well and to keep our children safe, we ask for your support in sharing these few rules with your child/children before the meeting begins:

1.    They must use the family email address and demonstrate they are who they say they are (full name given as well).
2.    They must make sure they are muted until the teacher has selected it is their turn to talk.
3.    They must use 'chat' or 'gestures' (hand up) to communicate their thoughts.
4.    They must think before they write.  Read and check before they send.
5.    They must be respectful to others and behave in the same way they would in class.
6.    They must ensure they are in a space that is not distracting and allows other members of the household to remain private and out of view.

We would love to see all of our children taking part in these Zoom meetings, so if you know of anyone who has not got this school app, please ask them to sign up!

For support in joining a Zoom meeting, please follow this link https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-Meeting
