Curriculum Intent
Knowledge and understanding of ICT is of increasing importance for children’s future both at home and for employment. At St Stephens, we understand that a high-quality computing education is essential for pupils to understand modern information and communication technologies (ICT), and for them to use these skills to become responsible, confident and creative participants of an increasingly digital world.
Our progressive curriculum is taught from EYFS to year 6. Lessons are personalised to maximise and deepen learning through bespoke planning, linked to current learning within each year group. We aim to embed core Computing skills early on, and technology usage is woven into all subject areas, allowing children to cultivate these essential skills throughout year groups. We hope that by creating an ethos of open discussion and independent thinking, our children leave primary school with the ability to use the internet and technology safely and responsibly. Our work with Mr Dean
We are fortunate to have an apple expert to work with our children 2 days a week. As well as teaching lessons he is providing professional development to our teachers and enrichment to classes every week.
